Technology
The I.T. revolution... is changing the business fundamentals throughout, from where companies purchase materials to how they sell their products.
The Internet creates a medium whereby companies can be accessed by millions of people, 24 hours-a-day 365 days a year. This may be to view basic information on the company, e.g. product, location, opening hours; or to buy the product online. The Internet has introduced a whole new dimension to the concept of 'passing trade'.
We at MHz understand that technology is a tool, which should be used by businesses to improve their profitability.
The rapid growth of the Internet is reflected in the ever-increasing number of users. Everyday 10,900 new adults in Britain try the Internet (source NOP Research, July 1999). UK users spent over $470million online in 1998. On the 14th of December 1998, over $80m was spent online in one day.
The Internet's reach is wider than imagined and its growth is faster than expected, according to a survey by Angus Reid Group. The study, "The Face of the Web," found that more than 300 million people are already on the Internet, and as many as 150 million more are planning to do so during the year 2000. The MHz team believe that the Internet is the way forward for all businesses.
